Began as professional dancer, 1906, and went to Europe same year. Continued there 2 years, appearing principally in Germany. Toured United States, 1910.
Founded, with husband, the Denishawn School in Los Los Angeles
Toured the Orient, 1925-1926, and has made many tours of the United States with husband. Moved school to New York City, 1920, and built Denishawn House, Van Cortlandt Park, 1929.
Left Denishawn House and now producing religious pageants. Lecturing since 1931.
Revised Radha (dance which made her famous), summer 1941.
Incorporated Society of Spiritual Arts and Church of Divine Dance, California. Incorporated Ruth Saint Denis Foundation, 1948. Has theatre and monthly church services.
