In 1994, he took the same position at Reuters in Budapest, where he worked until 1997. Ryan served as an automotive correspondent at Economist Intelligence Unit from 1993 to 2000.
In 1994, he became an automotive correspondent at Nikkan Jidosha Shimbun, where he served until 2001. Also in 1998, Tutak held the same position at Financial Times, where he worked for three years. He worked as a president of Automotive Eastern Europe from 1992 to 2004.
In 2005, Ryan was appointed an intern and analyst in 2006 of Financial Planning & Investment Systems Department at BorgWarner, Inc. In 2010, he became a senior analyst at that company.
