Shozo Makino was a Japanese Olympic swimmer. He won silver medal for the Men's 1500 meter freestyle event in the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, and a bronze medal for the Men’s 400 meter freestyle event in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.
Shozo Makino was born in Shizuoka Prefecture.
Shozo Makino graduated from Waseda University (1939). Began making a name for himself as a swimmer while still a student of middle school.
