Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California. McNamara, Houston, Dodge, McClure & Ney was founded by William R. Channell and Daniel J. McNamara in 1954.
The two partners, perceiving a need for a defense litigation firm in the then young Contra Costa County corridor, opened the doors of their practice in Martinez.
In 1958 they moved to Walnut Creek, at that time a small but quickly growing bedroom community just emerging as the hub for business and law in Contra Costa County. In 1970, William Channell was recruited to a Superior Court judgeship. Daniel McNamara continued to guide the firm to its present status as one of the largest independent defense litigation practices in Contra Costa County.
A dedication to excellence and a philosophy of aggressive litigation have been the foundations of our forty-year commitment to deliver the highest quality legal services to each of our clients.
