Stage works include Háry János Szekely fonó, 1926.
Concerto for Orchestra, Variations on a Hungarian Folksong, Marosszćk Dances, 1929, Galánta Dances, 1933, many a capella choruses, including Zrinyi’s Hymn, 1955, Symphonie I Lucerne, 1961.
Member American Academy Arts and Letters Hungarian Academy Science (president 1945-1948).
