Education
When still young, he became a disciple of Priest Eku in Kyoto and mastered the secret teachings of the Shinshu Sect.
Career
When he was appointed teacher-priest of the Higashi Honganji Temple (head temple of the East Shinshu Sect), he assumed the name of Kogon-in. Since then he taught at the Takakura School for 35 years.
