Late 1890’s joined revol movement. 1904 worked in Lodz, then Warsaw. Delegation at 5th Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congress from Lodz organisation, Social-Democratic Party of the Kingdom of Poland and Lithuania
1906 elected member. Main Board, Social-Democratic Party of Kingdom of Poland and Lithuania 1907 attended Stuttgart Congress of 2nd International. 1909 resigned from Main Board, due to differences of opinion with the leadership of the Polish-Lithuanian Social-Democratic Party.
1912, after split among Polish Social-Democrats, became one of leaders of “rozlam” opposition group, which took a stand close to that of the Bolsheviks. Edited its organ “Rabochaya gazeta”. 1912 attended Basel Congress of 2nd International.
1914 attended Brussels Russian Social-Democratic Workers ’Party (Bolsheviks) Conference. 1921 went to Russia; 1921-1922 head, Information Bureau, People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs. 1922-1925 secretary, editorial board, journal “Komintern”.
1926-1935 taught at higher educational establishments. Then learned consultant, Department of Philosophy, Lenin State Library. Arrested by State Security Organs.
