Education
Aafke Eshuis earned a Master of Science degree in Human Movement Sciences at the VU University in Amsterdam in 2010 after getting a bachelor’s degree in 2009. Eshuis started a study physiotherapy in September 2011.

Aafke Eshuis started her sport career with Speed skating. After lack of progression in her results she started competitive cycling in 2009. In 2011 she rode for the Specialized DPD Women Cyling Team.
Eshuis rode for the British based Team Ibis Cycles in 2012 and started competing in Women"s World Cup races.
Her first World Cup race was the Ronde van Drenthe and her best result was the 8th place at the 2012 Open de Suède Vårgårda TTT.
