He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-pace bowler who played for Lahore City. He was born in Lahore. Munir made a single first-class appearance for the side, during the 1994-1995 season, against Allied Bank Limited.
From the tailend, he scored a duck in the first innings in which he batted, and a single run in the second.
The following season, Munir made a single List A appearance, though he failed to score a run in the match, he took bowling figures of 2-21.
