Inventor of scientific apparatus, eye-shields, and of methods of highly magnifying on screen images of microscopic animals and plants.
Demonstrated method of “teaching biology from living plants and animals with a projection microscope,” 1905. Discovered a successful method of culture for amœba, and a method of showing the movement of sap in the leaves of plants.
