As the son of the founder of the Kingdom, the late King Abdulaziz, Prince Abdullah received a court education in religion, chivalry and politics. He was tutored at school and in the Royal Court by great Ulemas (Scholars of Islam), and supplemented his education by vast reading in all fields. When the late King Faisal succeeded to the throne, Prince Abdullah’s qualities of bravery, wisdom, intelligence and idealism recommended him to become President of the National Guard, a most important sector of the Saudi Armed Forces.
He has made several state visits to the United States of America, and European, Arab and African countries. During 1977 he paid several state visits to various countries, notably Spain, the United Kingdom and France. The purpose of these visits was to establish stronger ties between these countries and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Towards the end of 1977 he paid an important visit to the United States of America with the aim of developing and consolidating the Saudi National Guard. Second Deputy Prime Minister since 1975 and President of the National Guard since 1963.
The Prophet Muhammad (God bless him and give him peace) was the final messenger and his Law represents the ultimate manifestation of the divine mercy.
