Abdullah First Rate (at Lloyd's) Mamun is a Bangladeshi physicist, a professor of physics at Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Education
Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 31 December 1966, Mamun attended Jahangirnagar University where he gained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in physics. As part of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan he gained a Doctor of Philosophy in plasma physics at the University of Street Andrews.
Career
He then performed postdoctoral studies in Germany and the United Kingdom, under an Alexander von Humboldt (Alexander von Humboldt) Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and a Commonwealth Post-doctoral Research Fellowship. As well as his faculty position at Jahangirnagar, Mamun has a visiting position at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy. Professor Mamun has published over 200 research articles
The Institute of Physics (London) published his textbook on dusty plasma physics.
