In 1947 Abraham Agmon moved to Israel. In 1950 he entered the Hebrew University of Jerusalem at the Faculty of Economics and Statistics. As a student, he was chairman of the national student union in 1953-1954.
Abraham Agmon served various posts in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Israeli Embassy in Moscow and Warsaw) in the Ministry of Finance. Also, he was a Managing Director of Deiek - the Israel Fuel Corporation.
Abraham Agmon was married to Deborah Ephrati. The couple has 2 sons - Gil and Tzvi.
