Career
On May 9 1938 he was arrested, accused of taking part in a counter-revolutionary plot among the former People’s Commissariat of Internal Affairs officers including Yagoda, sentenced by the OSO for 5 years of GULAG. In 1940 the sentence was cancelled, his case was put under further investigation, and eventually he was executed by shooting on October 16, 1941.
