He began his journalistic career at Eastern Eye, beginning as a junior news reporter and became its news editors After leaving Eastern Eye, Taher worked as a freelance reporter at the Daily Mail, The Evening Standard and Metro. In 2005, he joined The Sunday Times as a staff reporter.
Since September 2009, he has been a news reporter for The Mail on Sunday.
