Achraf Baznani was born june 1979 in Marrakesh, Morocco. Baznani got started in photography by chance. He received a Kodak Ektra compact 250 camera for his birthday as a teen.

Baznani is self-taught and has never taken photography classes.
Baznani has made several short films and documentaries. These include "Walk" in 2006 and "The Forgotten" in 2007.
During 2014 he completed his "52 Project", a personnal mission which he committed on taking a picture every week in a row for a year.
Achraf Baznani plays with optical illusions to create surrealistic, amusing and surprising photos. In his works Baznani put himself in the spotlight in a small size. He owes his success to his series "Inside My Dreams", in which he stages himself in a gigantic world through surrealist and poetic self-portraits.
Besides, Baznani exhibited his works all over the world, including at the Louvre Museum.
Baznani was named Best Director at the national educational film festival in Casablanca, Morocco in 2006. He was also named Best Director five times at various national festivals from 2006 to 2009.
Achraf Baznani has won the following awards: the Jury Prize at the International Festival of Short and Documentary Films in Casablanca, Morocco in 2009, the First prize in the short film festival in the Arab League in 2009, the First Prize in B2zone art contest in Switzerland in 2015, the Golden Orchid Grand Prize in 2016, and the International Prize Colosseo, Roma, Italy in 2016.
In 2016 he was the First Place Winner of the Golden Ribbon in Notindoor photography magazine contest. His works were also featured in various magazines worldwide like PicsArt, National Geographic, Mambo, Photo+, Amateur Photographer, Fotografe Melhor, Digital Photo magazine.
