Background

Wilson, Adair was born on November 16, 1841 in Saline Company, Missouri, United States. Son of William Adair and Mary Elizabeth (Reeves) Wilson.

Education

Graduate Masonic College, Lexington, Missouri, 1858. Admitted to bar, 1860. Removed to California and in 1863, to Nevada.

Returned to Missouri, 1867, and in 1872 finally settled in Colorado.

Career

Member and president Territorial Legislative Council, 1875. Received but declined Democratic nomination for government, 1880. State senator, Colorado, 1886-1890.

Delegate to National Democratic Convs., 1876 and 1896. Now Colorado member Democratic National Committee Residence: Durango, Colorado judge Court of Appeals of Colorado. Since 1897—term expires, 1903.
