Career
The band, formed in the early 1990s was previously called Greek. Its members included: Adam"s younger brother Eddie Avil, Luke Kenny, Joy Dattagupta, Ulysses Veyra, Brian Soans and Victor Doctorate"souza. The band was active for a decade.
They had a short tour in Almaty, Kazakhstan in 1997 and gave a performance on the local channel TAN television, signed with Sonic Wave, their debut album Urban Reality was shortlisted for the 2003 Grammys in the world music category.
The Anurag Kashyap movie Paanch was loosely based on the chemistry between the band members. Avil has also composed a theme song for Umang, an annual festival at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics.
Adam Avil is recording the new album (as of October 2013) and planning an international tour with American artists.
