In 2004, he appeared in the Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) production of Brigadoon and a Pasadena Playhouse production of 110 in the Shade, before being cast in the role of Joshua in The Ten Commandments: The Musical at the Kodak Theatre alongside Val Kilmer. In November 2011, Lambert joined Queen as lead singer at the MTV Europe Music Awards held in Belfast, where the band was honored with the Global Icon Award. In a "spectacular" performance that closed the show, they performed a medley of the classic hits “The Show Must Go On”, "We Will Rock You", and "We Are the Champions".
