In 2004, Pope John Paul II made Stanios a Prelate. He began his career as a vicar in the parish of Saint John, Radom. In 1965, Stanios applied for a chapel at Andrzej Strug Street and became the first pastor of the parish in that area.
Working with residents in the community, he erected a shrine of Our Lady of Mercy.
Stanios was an initiator of the Youth Centre "Ark" (place Centrum Młodzieżowe "Arka") in Radom. On his 75th birthday, Stanios"s parishioners published a book: "Sługa Miłosiernej Matki - ks.
Adam Stanios" in which he wrote about his life. He died at night on Christmas day (25 December 2007).
The street leading from the Miła Street towards the Church of Our Lady of Mercy in Radom was renamed after him.
