Career
Akyol started his youth career at CJVV in Amersfoort. He was quickly spotted by the neighbouring Roda "46 side from Leusden. Notable for his fast dribbles and powerful long-range shots, Almere City Football Club scouts signed him in 2010.
He is yet to play his first competition match.
Akyol has made 13 appearances and 4 goals for the Turkish U-17 football team He also possesses the Dutch nationality and is therefore still eligible for the Dutch senior squad.
In interviews he has stated not to have chosen between the two countries.
