Major Infantry, National Army, and assigned as adjunct, 81st Division, Camp Jackson, South Carolina., 1917. Served in St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne offensives and with Army of Occupation, World War.

Commanding general 7th Cavalry Brigade (mechanized), since 1938.
