Stuttgart; Munich; Studied art for three years at Munich, and later spent a year in Paris, where he studied under Benjamin Constant and Bougereau.
From there he went to Rome, where he also took up sculpture. Settling down in Munich he became a member of the Ktinster Genossenschaft and Luitpoldgruppe. Paid frequent visits to Italy, Spain, and the Tyrol.
Has lived in England since 1901. Exhibits at Munich, Berlin, Salon at Paris, and Royal Academy. Figure and landscape painter.
