Green, Adolphus Williamson was born on January 14, 1843 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Son of John H. and Jane Green.
Graduate Boston Latin School, 1859. Bachelor of Arts, Harvard, 1863.
Principal, high schools., Groton, Massachusetts, 1863-1864. 2d assistant librarian, 1864-1867, librarian, 1867-1869, Mercantile library association, New York. Studied law in offices of Evarts, Southmayd & Choate, New York, 1869-1873.
Admitted to bar, 1873. Went to Chicago; attorney Village of Hyde Park, Illinois, 1882-1884. Later attorney of South Park Commissioners.
Member of law firm of Goudy (William C,) & Green, 1884-1894. Later of Green, Willits & Robbins, and Green, Peters & Babst. Organized the National Biscuit Company, 1898, and became its general counsel and member Executive Committee.
Later elected Chairman of the Board of directors, and 1905 became president Home: Greenwich, Conn.
