Career
During the course of his career, for all seasons in all leagues, Garrett slugged a total of 424 home runs. This is broken down as follows: United States. Minor Leagues: 280, Japan: 102, Venezuelan Winter League: 31 (Regular & Post-Season) and Major Leagues: 11. Garrett served as hitting coach for the Louisville Bats, the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, from 2003 through 2011.
He served in this capacity for the 2011 season, along with Pitching Coach Ted Power and Manager Rick Sweet.
From 2012-2015, Garrett"s role has been that of a part-time instructor for Cincinnati during spring training, post-draft mini-camp, instructional league and the regular season. Garrett is a member two Baseball: the Tacoma (Washington) Baseball Hall of Fame and the Appleton (Wisconsin) Baseball Hall of Fame.
