He received his early education from his hometown Government Primary School Chak no 3 New Brunswick and Government High School Chak Number 10. He did his F.A and Bachelor of Arts from Government College Sargodha. Later he went to Punjab University Lahore from where he got a law degree and went into practicing law.
He did his Master of Arts in Political Science and took his degree of law from Punjab University and also did Computer Software Systems.
He belonged to landlord family of Tehsil Bhalwal.
His father Chaudhry Rehmat khan Theekrya mostly lived in their hometown village Chak Number 3 New Brunswick Tehsil Bhalwal District Sargodha. Chaudhry Aftab Ahmed Gujjar Advocate is one of the notable residents of District Sargodha.
He, Chaudhry Aftab, has six brothers & one sister. Mr. Aftab Gujjar first came to limelight when he started practicing law after completing his studies which gave him a very big name.
He was a social worker and was also involved in politics.
He was sound of the hearts of the needy and poor people. He had been at the forefront of the lawyers movement that culminated in the restoration of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry & one of the most respected & popular person of District Sargodha. He was offered as a Justice of High Court which he refused due to the suspension of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and support the lawyers movement.
He also remained as A.A.G PUNJAB. He was also elected Chief Executive of High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi Bench.
Mr. Aftab Gujjar started practicing law in January 1982 from Lahore and Sargodha and gained a very big name as a lawyer Later he started practicing in High Court Bar and Supreme Court of Pakistan and became a very respected and famous advocate.
He was well-known person of High Court Rawalpindi and most senior and respected advocate of Bhalwal Bar Association.

He is a prominent member of Gujjar In 2007 he was elected senior member of executive committee of High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi.
