Background
Agano Kiz was born in 1600. He was the son of the castellan of Pusan Castle.

Career
He thus became the originator of Aganoyaki ceramics. He also originated, together with his son, Chube-e, Yatsushiro-yaici pottery in Higo Province (Kumamoto Prefecture).
