Background
Aizu Kanesada was born in 1550. Originally lived in Mino (Gifu Prefecture) during the Muromachi Period. Moved to Aizu during the Koji Era.

Career
He became a disciple of Ashima and began making swords and other articles which came to be known as Owazamono. His descendants followed his profession for many generations in Aizu.
