Career
When Lord Katamori Matsudaira of Aizu (Fukushiina Prefecture) was military commissioner in Kyoto in 1962, he was favored by the lord shuttled between Yedo and Kyoto as his courier. After the Meiji Restoration in 1868, he became a boss of laborers in Kyoto.
Personality
He was noted as a man of chivalrous spirit.
