Career
Jenks was drafted 100th overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2008 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Prior to turning professional, Jenks played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League where he played four seasons with the Plymouth Whalers, including winning the J. Ross Robertson Cup in his rookie season in 2006-2007. In recognition of his outstanding play, Jenks was selected to play in the 2010 OHL All-Star Classic,
On January 18, 2012, Jenks along with Evgenii Dadonov were traded by the Panthers to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Jonathan Matsumoto and Mattias Lindstrom.
On July 19, 2014, Jenks signed a one-year contract with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL. On January 10, 2016, Jenks was signed to a Professional Try Out by the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Prior to being signed to a professional try out, Jenks recorded 11 goals and 14 assists in 33 games for the Toledo Walleye this season. He made his debut for the Griffins on January 12, where he scored a goal against Daniel Altshuller of the Charlotte Checkers.
On January 22, 2016, he was released from his professional tryout and assigned to the Toledo Walleye. Jenks played in five games for the Griffins, where he recorded two goals and one assistant
