In 1931 graduated from Tokyo University.
Career
Joined Tokyo-do, at that time one of the four big publication distribution concerns. He has since then devoted himself to the publication distribution business. He became general affairs department chief of the Japan Publications Distribution Co. which was inaugurated in 1941 after merging all the publication distribution firms in the country. He became one of the directors of the company (1945), and a member of the board of directors (1946). He became a standing director of Tokyo Shup- pan Hambai (Tokyo Publications Distribution Co.) which was founded in 1950 after the break-up of the Japan Publications Distribution Co. He also was a managing director of the company.
