She graduated from the Shizuoka Prefectural Women's Normal School and studied under Rinkyo Ishii and Suisho Nishiyama.
While raising her six children, she was thinking about a new Japanese painting style. At age 54, after one year worked as a visiting professor at the University of Tagore in India, she began to paint Indian rusty yellow and red large landscape. These series of India are her masterpieces.
She was a member of the New Works Society (Shin Seisaku Kai).
