Akiyama Hideo

Background

Akiyama Hideo was born in 1911.

Education

He graduated from Tokyo University in 1934. He was a student of German philosophy, particularly of the works of Nietzsche.

Career

In 1935 he became professor at the Fourth Higher School, assistant professor at Kanazawa University in 1949 and full professor in 1954. Has translated many of Nietzsche's works.
