He graduated from Kyoto University in 1923.
After graduation from Kyoto University he worked as a professor at the Third Higher School. He was nominated to the professorship in the Science Department of Kyoto University in 1948 and came to assume the professorship at the Nara Womens College concurrently (from 1949). He also assumed another professorship at the Tokyo University of Pedagogics (Tokyo Kyoiku Daigaku) (1951). He was noted as a specialist in probability and belonged to the Japan Mathematicians’ Society.
