Career

Contested Conservative King’s Lynn, 1900. Joined firm of P. B. Burgoyne & Company, of which he has been a director since 1901. Has travelled extensively in Australasia, New Guinea, Java, Siam and Shan States, China and Manchuria, Japan, Canada, United States, Mexico, Central America, Morocco, and Europe.

Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Honourable Treasurer of the Navy League. Honourable Secretary of 1900 Club.

Member of Naval and Military Committee of London Chamber of Commerce. Arrested at Port Arthur by the Russians and'imprisoned on a false charge of spying, 1903. Has lectured at the United Service Institution, Whitehall. Member of Parliament (Unionist, Imperialist, and Tariff Reformer), Kensington, N., since 1910; 3rd son of Peter Bond Burgoyne of Broadlands, Ascot, Berkshire., and Rutherglen, Victoria.
