He was educated in Boston, graduated with the class of 1898, Harvard University
Shortly after Harvard University he joined Louis C. Newhall in a partnership which was maintained until the latter’s decease in 1925. The firm had a large and lucrative practice in Boston and environs, including schools, churches, hotels and private residences, of which the Boston City Club, built in 1916, was the most important. Independently Mr. Blevens planned several buildings at Harvard, also designed the Third Congregational Church and the Y. M. C. A. Building at Cambrdige.
An Emeritus member of the Boston Society of Architects, A.I.A., he had been an Associate of the Institute from 1906 until the time of his death.
