Albert George Burr

Albert George Burr was a United States Representative in Congress from the state of Illinois for two terms. He was a member of the Democratic Party. He served from 1861 until 1864 in the Illinois House of Representatives. In 1877, he was elected as a circuit judge, a post which he held until his death on June 10, 1882 in Carrolton.

Background

He was born near Batavia, Genesee County, but moved with his mother to Illinois in 1830.
