Career

Staton was captain of the 1921 basketball team While playing for Georgia Technical football teams he was selected All-Southern every year he played, and picked for its All-Era Team. Albert was elected into the Georgia Technical Athletics Hall of Fame in 1963.

First Rate (at Lloyd's) Staton was the first chief executive officer of the Alumni Association and editor of its magazine.
