Key, Albert Lenoir was born on July 30, 1860 in Loudon Company, Tennessee, United States. Son of David McKendree and Elizabeth (Lenoir) Key.

Career

Served in United States Navy through grades of ensign, Lieutenant (junior grade), Lieutenant, Lieutenant-commander, commander and captain. Voluntarily retired as commodore, June 30, 1912. Formerly Chairman of the Board Volunteer State Life Insurance Company, Chattanooga.

West Indian and Philippine naval campaign medals, Spanish-American War.
