Student Greenville (Illinois) College, 1893-1897.

Career

1 son, Jonathan Owen. Enlisted with 4th Illinois Infantry, May 1898, and served in the United States Army. Second in command Lieutenant infantry, 1901, and advanced through the grades to brigadier general, 1936.

Served as colonel of infantry during World War. Retired from active service, July 31, 1940.
