Received private instruction Buffalo and New York. Studied in Germany, 1867-1872. Royal Conservatory, Leipzig, Carl Tausig’s High School of Pianoforte, Berlin, and Professor Theodore Kullak’s New Academy of Music, Berlin.
Specialist in musical pedagogy, technics and æsthetics. Also prominent in archeology. Professor Georg. Ebers, Egyptologist and novelist, sent autograph and photograph with thanks for “Profoundly suggestive work, New Light from the Great Pyramid.” Democrat.
Composer pianoforte pieces, songs. Designed the symbolic pyramid mausoleum, Greenwood cemetery, New New York Dante lecturer and readings. Bacon-Shakespeare. Author: Wagner’s Beethoven, 1870.
