Albina Ivanovna studied internally at the graduate school of the Leningrad State University, 1969-1972. She graduated from the historical faculty of the Nekrasov Kostroma State Pedagogical Institute (now Nekrasov Kostroma State University), 1961 - 1965.
Albina Ivanovna began her career as a history teacher at school № 24 in Kostroma (1965-1967). In 1967 she started working at the Kostroma Institute of Technology as an assistant at the Chair of Marxism-Leninism. After getting a post-graduate degree and the defense of her Ph.D. thesis, she came back to Kostroma, where she worked as an assistant at the Chair of History of the CPSU, Philosophy and Scientific Communism at the Kostroma Institute of Technology (1972-1973).
Then Albina Ivanovna occupied the posts of the senior professor of the department (1973-1975), assistant professor (1975 - 1982), head of the Chair of History of the CPSU (1982-1990). In 1984-1986 Albina Ivanovna was a senior research associate, and in 1989 became a professor at the Chair of History of the CPSU at the Kostroma Institute of Technology.
Since 1990, she headed the Department of History of Russia, Kostroma University of Technology, and since February 1997 she became the dean of the Faculty of Humanities.
Albina Ivanovna published a number of her works: materials of the defining and encyclopedic dictionary "Women in the Russian Province" ("Woman in Russian Society" magazine), articles: "The history of the female Russian costume" ("Woman in Russian Society" magazine, № 2, 1996) and others.
During the years of scientific and practical activities, Albina Ivanovna prepared 10 graduate students and two PhD students, developed a methodology and technique for the "feminology" course.
Currently, Albina Ivanovna pays a lot of attention to the women's movement, the protection of the rights of Russian women, the upholding of democratic freedoms and the promotion of traditions of charity and mercy of the Russian people.
Albina Ivanovna is a member of two specialized councils for defending dissertations for a doctorate and candidate of historical sciences at the Ivanovo State University (since 1989) and at the Kostroma State Pedagogical University (since 1993). She is a member of the Head Council of the target complex program "Formation and development of the working youth" (Perm Technical University), as well as the Head Scientific and Technical Council of the interuniversity research program "Women of Russia: the problems of adaptation and development in new socio-economic conditions" (since 1994). A member of the Petrovsky Academy (since 1996), a member of the Presidium of the Regional Council of Women (since 1995).
Her favorite hobby - reading books (Russian classics and historical literature). Albina Ivanovna speaks German well.
