Aleksander Nicolaus Wolszczan, Astrophysicist. Achievements include discovery of pulsars in globular clusters and supernova remnants, of the detection and characterization of binary pulsar which is likely to become the most precise probe of relativistic gravity and most recently, of the discovery and confimration of threeplanets cirling a neutron star - the first planetary system beyond our own.
