1918-1936 at Central Aerodynamics Institute. Early 1930's visited aviation plants in United States of America. 1934 headed engineer group which designed and built the twinengined, all-metal, SB high-speed bomber.
Since 1936 Acting Chief Designer, Experimental Aircraft Construction Plant, Central Institute of Aerodynamics and Hydrodynamics, where in 1939 he supervised construction of the twin-engined, all-metal, AR-2 high-speed bomber. 1942 Chief Designer, Kazan Bomber Plant, where he directed modification of four-engined TB-7 heavy bomber. 1947-1955 participated in a number of jet bomber projects and in the development of the Trade-Union-104 jet passenger plane.
Since 1955 has been working with Tupolev on the development extra-heavy jet passenger planes. 1959 at opening of Soviet Exhibition in New York. Since 1957 Deputy, Moscow City Soviet.
