Editor of the almanac Lileraiurnaia Moskva. During the Khrushchev thaw, wrote an antiStalinist novel Novoe Naznachenie, which was announced for publication in the magazine Novyi Mir in 1965, but did not appear. It was later published in West Germany, 1971, attracting world wide attention.
