Studied at Physics and Mathematics Faculty, Moscow University but did not graduate because of arrest and banishment in 1899 for participation in student actions. Graduate Dresden Polytech School.
On return from abroad engaged in political work. As a member of SocialistRevol Party repeatedly arrested and exiled. During exile in Arkhangelsk Province took part in local cooperative movement.
On return official, then bd member, Centr Union of Consumers’ Social. After 1917 February Revol chairman, Moscow Food Committee. Elected member, Pre-Parliament and State Conference.
Broke with Socialist-Revol Party and ran for Constituent Assembly as candidate of recently formed Cooperative Block. After 1917 October Coup traveled abroad on Centr Union of Consumers’ Social business. Headed its foreign branches and concluded deals and commissions.
1922 emigrated; 1926-1932 chairman, Union of Jewish Cooperative Social in Poland.
Member, Socialist-Revol Party.
