Chairman, Org Committee, USSR Painters’ Union. Deputy, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Supreme Soviet of 2nd, 3rd and 4th convocations. Specialized in portrait, historical, genre, landscape and still-life painting, set designing and illustrations.
A number of his works are displayed in the Tret’yakov Gallery and other Soviet museums.
