1908 graduated Leipzig University. 1909 graduated Kiev University.

Career

Studied photogalvanic processes. Research into solid dielectrics and semiconductors. Studied theory of Becquerel effect, theory of rectifying effects, and optical sensitization of photoelectric effects, etc.

Taught at: 1915-1918 Petrograd Polytechn. Institute, 1918-1930 Kiev Polytechn. Institute, 1929-1938 Kiev University, 1944-1952 Vologda Pedagogical Institute, 1952-1956 Balashov Institute.

Religion is bad because it gets people to believe something untrue.

Member, Communist Party, since 1932.
