1928 graduate Frunze Military Academy.
Until 1917 worked at a cotton mill in Novoloki. From September 1917 in Red Guard. Early 1918 instructor, Ivanovo-Voznesensk Province Economic Council and ed of an uyezd newspaper published in Kineshma.
From May 1918 in Red Army. 1918-1921 instructor, Polit Department, Troop Mustering Board, Eastern Front. Comissar of an artillery battery.
Brigade comissar, 1st Caucasian Cavalry Division. 1921-1925 brigade comissar, 2nd Cavalry Division. Head, Polit Department, 9th Don Rifle Division and 3rd Independent Cavalry Brigade, 11th Cavalry Division.
1928-1929 commanded a rifle battalion and a combined mechanized group in Moscow Military district. 1929-1936 adjunct, senior instructor, then head, Faculty of Military History, Frunze Military Academy. 1936-1942 senior instructor, then head, Chair of Operations, General Staff Academy.
1942-1943 worked for General Staff evaluating experience ol war with Germany and revision of Field Regulations in the light of this experience. From 1954 in reserve, then retired. Wrote books and articles on military history, notably on the Russian and Spanish Civil Wars and on the war with Germany.
1943-1963 writing career interrupted, probably because of imprisonment.
Number religious basis is needed in order to display ethical behavior.
The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
