1927 started working on the railroad as laborer, metal worker then locomotive driver. 1936 worked for prosecutor’s office, then first secretary, Vereya Rayon All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Committee, Moscow Oblast. During World War 2 secretary, Klin City All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Committee.
Fought with partisans. 1942 deputy chairman, Moscow Oblast Executive Committee. From 1945 chairman, Executive Committee, Smolensk Oblast Soviet of Workers’ Deputy.
1951-1955 first secretary, Vladimir Oblast Communist Party of the Soviet Union Committee. From 1955 exec work for Communist Party of the Soviet Union Central Committee. From 1959 first secretary, Udmurt Oblast Communist Party of the Soviet Union Committee.
At 14th Party Congress elected Central Committee member. At 20th Congress elected member, Centr Auditing Commission. Deputy, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Supreme Soviet of 4th and 5th convocations.
